Margaret
Rizzo, President / Owner
Margaret Rizzo is thrilled to have found a career
path that combines her talents in event planning and
fundraising with her love of horses! Margaret's diverse
work background has allowed her to utilize her public
relations, marketing, event planning, and development
skills. Her resume includes positions with Practical
Horseman, The Equiery, Maryland Horse Council, and
Georgetown Preparatory School, among others. A graduate of
the University of Maryland, she holds degrees in Public
Relations and American Studies.
Margaret also boasts an extensive career in competitive equestrian sports with a focus on eventing, which has spanned over many years. Her work and life experiences in the worlds of horses, event planning, and development has led her to start her own business. Mythic Landing
Enterprises started out with one client, a local horse trials, and
has grown over the years to represent a variety of equestrian-related businesses, from professional riders to trailer dealerships to insurance agencies. Margaret continually counts her blessings to be surrounded by so many people that share her vision.

Nicki & Mantequilla
|
Nicki
Carson,
Account Manager
Nicki
Carson is a lifelong horsewoman who is excited about
putting her knowledge of the horse industry to work for
MLE clients. Her passion for horses started at the age of
six when she told her parents, "If I don’t get
riding lessons for my birthday, then don’t get me
anything at all!" That passion continued, and she
grew into a confident young woman with a dream of reaching
the Olympics. For years she was a working student, first
for a hunter trainer, and then for an eventing trainer.
Once into the sport of eventing, she fell in love with
dressage.
Nicki
currently resides in North Central Maryland, where she
bases her training business, FCF Sport Horses out of her
mom's Flying Chesterfield Farm. Nicki specializes in the
breaking and training of horses and ponies for Dressage
and Eventing. In her spare time, you can find her out on
the Region 1 Dressage and USEA Area 2 show circuits with
home-breds (Whisper to Heaven and DeLiza) and client
horses.

Ashley & Uno
|
Ashley
Colonel,
On-staff
Bookkeeper
Ashley
Colonel has been working as a bookkeeper and an accountant
for 20 years now, working for many different types of
businesses, hotels, spas, equestrian facilities, trainers,
and restaurants, as well as helping to run a family-owned
scenic float-trip company. She started organizing and
hosting equestrian camps when she was the Area IX Adult
Rider Coordinator from 2003-2005. This later led to the
formation of Four Star Management where Ashley combined
her bookkeeping skills and her love for horsemanship. She
currently manages several equestrian businesses, including
Amy Tryon’s and Stephen Bradley’s.
Ashley
began riding at the age of 5, taking Western pleasure
lessons. When her family moved to Texas, they couldn’t
locate a Western riding instructor, but found a Pony Club
trainer, and her passion for eventing was born. She has
competed through the Intermediate level with her OTTB TB,
Numero Uno. They have been together for 12 years now. The
winters in Jackson Hole are tough, so Ashley only gets to
ride about 5 months out of the year, but says it keeps her
focused. She’s thrilled to be joining Mythic Landing and
their outstanding team of professionals.

Sue & Mickey
|
Sue
O'Donnell,
Sales Assistant
Sue
O'Donnell has assisted Margaret behind the scenes at area
shows and clinics for the last couple of seasons
(you've probably seen her behind the prize tables), and has
now stepped in as the MLE Sales Assistant. She brings
with her years of horse care and equestrian-based retail
experience, and is excited to put her diverse knowledge to
good use. A recreational rider, Sue spends her free time
at the barn she shares with her mom, and on a nice day you
can usually find her and Mickey, her Appaloosa gelding,
out on a "suburban trail ride" through the
development.
